We Wanted to Make Something That Hadn't Been Done Before in the Budget Segment.
We went to ddHiFi for a new project aimed at the Indian audiophile community. An IEM that represented value for money for a beginner audiophile. But Demond Ding asked us why the world needed another budget IEM. And really, it didn't. So he said, why not do something that's never been done before in the budget segment?
That conversation became the Iris and the Skyfall. Two IEMs we made with Demond from the ground up, with the build quality of the world's best IEMs, in the budget segment, for the first time.
The Iris is the one tuned for people who want 🍿 vocals and instruments to be the hero of the song.
The budget segment has plenty of V-shaped IEMs, plenty of bass-boosted balanced ones, plenty of flat neutrals. Almost nothing makes the singer and the instruments the centre of attention without bass intruding or treble overcompensating. That's the gap. The Iris fills it.
Play "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls. The acoustic guitar has texture. The vocal sits forward and close. When the strings swell in the bridge, nothing gets in their way. The whole song stays where it should.
A Build You Won't Find at Three or Four Times the Price
It matters because of durability. Most budget IEMs use hollow moulded resin, which can crack under force. Metal shells split at the seam. A solid resin shell does neither. Nothing inside to rattle. No join to come apart. One dense, precisely shaped piece of medical-grade resin with the driver locked inside.
A 10mm Beryllium-Plated Driver, Rare at This Price
We chose it because the build deserves a driver that matches it. The result is a fast, articulate presentation that doesn't smear under pressure. Vocals stay clean. Instruments hold their texture. Nothing congests when the song gets busy.
Vocals and Instruments, As They Should Be
Try Norah Jones. Try Eagles. Try Kishore Kumar. The Iris brings the people in the song closer to you.
A Cohesive Sound, Because It Comes From One Driver
The Iris takes that advantage and runs with it. Bass flows into the mids. Mids flow into the treble. Nothing fights for attention. The song holds together.
Hand-Painted Marbled Green Faceplate
No two pairs of Iris look exactly the same. Yours is one of one.
A Nozzle That's Actually Built Properly
A rigid metal nozzle resonates differently from plastic, and it holds up to thousands of eartip swaps without giving way. It's the kind of detail you notice three years in, when the IEM still feels exactly the way it did on day one.
A Cable You'll Want to Keep Using
The 🔌 0.78mm 2-pin connector is standard, so if you ever want to move to a balanced cable or a Bluetooth cable, you can.

What type of driver does the Iris use?
It uses a single 10mm dynamic driver for a cohesive and natural sound.
What is the Iris shell made of and what makes it unique?
It features a fully solid, 3D-printed medical-grade resin shell that’s completely transparent, showcasing the internal structure. This solid construction—rare at this price—improves acoustic sealing and reduces unwanted resonance for cleaner sound.
What material is the nozzle made of and how durable is it?
It uses a CNC-machined aluminium nozzle, which offers better durability than plastic and maintains performance over time. It’s built to handle frequent eartip changes without wear, ensuring long-term reliability.
What cable comes with the Iris and can it be upgraded?
It comes with a 3.5mm (single-ended) silver-plated oxygen-free copper cable that’s soft, flexible, and comfortable for daily use. The cable is detachable via a standard 0.78mm 2-pin connector, allowing easy upgrades to aftermarket or balanced cables, including Bluetooth options.
